we went to this place sometime in mid Nov 09.
cute cafe – yes
food & price – average
service – non-existent, we were there at 6pm and there were at most 3 other filled tables and a couple of sulky wait staff walking all around but we had to wave madly for a long while to get them to take orders, fill glasses and even to bring the bill.
it’s funny how the simplest food can bring so much comfort….this is my all-time comfort food….from an undisclosed ;p humble stall in tiong bahru…

The burger and fries was a safe bet, the fries came hot and crispy albeit a little too thin for my liking 🙂 The baked rice that Rol had was unfortunately so so in taste, although the portion was huge and extremely filling.
Day 1 – 12 Sept 09
Arrived at Taoyuan Intl airport and took a bus to Taipei Train Station to catch a train to 花莲. By the time we arrived at the 民宿, it was already 8pm plus but we were hungry so we went to 自强夜市 for supper.
This is the nice 民宿 we stayed at while in 花莲。
Day 2 – 13 Sept 09
After breakfast, we went off on a half-day tour of 太魯閣國家公園.
After the tour, we head off to 南濱夜市 for dinner
Day 3 – 14 Sept 09
We decided to go to 兆風農場 today….seriously, this place is over rated…it’s huge but not much to see or do…will give it a miss the next time
After a tiring day at the farm, it’s time for yummy food again =>
Day 4 – 15 Sept 09
Our last day in 花莲 so we got up bright and early to 七星潭.

We went to….Hello Kitty Sweets restaurant!
after that it was shopping time at 五分铺
…and dinner at the nearby 饒河夜市
Day 6 – 17 Sept 09
野柳
thinking back, the only memory I have of this place is hot, hot and hot! hahaha…the pics came out pretty well but we were perspiring soooo much…the 1.5 hours ride from 淡水 to 野柳 was very pleasant thou…it was along the coastline so fantastic sea view!

Day 7 – 18 Sept 09
Melange cafe is an institution, I can totally understand why people queue for hours to buy the freshly-made waffles…they serve really good coffee as well…
what better way is there to burn off the hearty breakfast then to go shopping @ 西门町?
and then it’s off to 士林夜市 for more food!
was too busy eating and shopping after this to take any pictures….hahaha 😀
Day 8 – 19 Sept 09
from here we went up to 陽明山 to this cafe called 花园洞天 for our afternoon tea break…
We continued on to 美麗華 but decided we will take the ferris wheel at night…
…so it’s dinner time at 伍角船板, the food and service was fantastic! highly recommended 🙂
The sky was just getting dark after dinner as we walked back to 美麗華, we bought the ferris wheel tickets and as we wanted to get the full glass cabin (there is only 2 of those) we had to queue for 30 mins.
Day 9 – 20 Sept 09
On our last Taiwan trip, we went to 陽明山 for hot springs so this time, we decided to go to 烏來 to 泡溫泉!
Time to check in to our hotel in 烏來, the lovely 璞石麗緻溫泉會館.
At 4pm, we went to a 赏鸟活动 organised by the hotel, luckily the weather was nice and cool.
The hotel mini van dropped us off at 烏來老街 on the way back as we wanted to go for dinner.

Day 10 – 21 Sept 09
Breakfast and lunch at the same venue…
After checking out of the hotel, we went back to 碧潭 for some photo moments.
In the evening, we went to 師大夜市.
Day 11 – 22 Sept 09
We went for lunch at the restaurant owned by 周杰倫, Mr.J義法廚房北醫店. Spent like 30 mins walking around trying to find this place, who would have thought it would be inside a medical school?!?
Day 12 – 23 Sept 09
Went back to 士林夜市 for more retail and food therapy…
Day 13 – 24 Sept 09
We took a train to 瑞芳 and from there a bus to 九份.
Day 14 – 25 Sept 09
Second last day in Taipei so we couldn’t resist going back to 米郎琪 for one more cuppa!
Can’t miss 鼎泰豐 when in Taipei so we went to the outlet at 忠孝東路 this time…
After the nice lunch we went to Taipei 101
Day 15 – 26 Sept 09
Time flies when you are having fun, before we knew it, it was time for our flight back to Singapore…
再见了台湾， 我们一定会再来!!!
